Things that Make Me Smile: The My How They've Grown Edition

Bible Study Friends, Our local group did not meet this week.  Our church had a wonderful pancake supper on Monday evening to help raise funds for this child of God.  To paraphrase my husband here, "It's not that we chose to show mercy above meeting around God's Word, but it's precicely because we've heard God's Word that we may also gather together to show mercy."  We had a great turnout!  This made me smile.

We're back together next week.  That will make me smile too.

Here are some of the other things that made me smile this week...

Magigail and Fuzzy teaching Sis to use the new training wheels Seth put on her bike.  After three older siblings it was time to spend $2.50 and invest in some new stabilizers.  The big girls kept shouting, "You're doing it!" and "We won't let go!"  I have a sneeking suspicion that some of this was for the benefit of the camera they knew was pointed at their adorable little faces, but I loved it nonetheless.

Yes, her shoes are on the wrong feet.

A card from a dear woman at church reminding us she is praying for us as we continue to prepare for our trip.

E-mails from our group detailing the gifts we get to take with us.

Aunts and Uncles who buy real canvas for budding artists.

This silly girl reliving her younger days.  She is about 18 months old in the picture on the left.
She needed help getting out of the costume both times...for different reasons.

What made you smile today?

  1. Those things made me smile, too. Your children are so dear. Your daughter's artwork brings me joy--and real canvas is such a special gift.
