Keep scrolling. It gets good at the end.
I feel compelled to tell you that I threw aside two piles of clothes before I snapped these pictures.
Think I can fit 300 ziplock bags in this last one?
And....that is where this post would have ended if not for something awesome that happened last night.
Stick with me. This story starts out pretty boring, but it has a really terrific ending.

We were doing some after Christmas shopping with the kids this weekend and Fuzzy happened to find a set of seven My Little Ponies that she instantly loved. She bought them, and though they were only a few dollars, and there were two sets remaining, I walked away. When we got home I regretted not having purchased them both. That would have given me 14 little gifts for the children in Haiti, and certainly I would have been able to find a few more, enough to cover at least one group of children.
Fast forward to tonight and that same little girl who chose to get a happy meal at McDonalds. Now, Tuesday evenings everyone has basketball practice, but at three different times, so we end up eating out and in shifts. I know that the toys at McDonalds were different last week because we walked these very same steps just seven days ago. Today the toys were none other than My Little Ponies. It couldn't hurt to ask right?
58. They gave me 58 of them!
What do you call 58 ponies?
They aren't a gaggle. They aren't a litter. Maybe they're a herd.
I don't care.
They're beautiful!
I'm gonna need one more suitcase.

AWESOME! :) So happy how God works for & in us!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of "You have not because you ask not." I can just imagine the excitement of the Haitian children. Can't wait to hear all about it.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a great story, and that they just gave them to you is wonderful.
